# Love-First Business — The Framework That Changed How I Build

Every business framework I've ever encountered asks: "How do we extract maximum value?"

I built a different one. It asks: "Does this leave the user more autonomous than before?"

If no → kill it.
If yes → amplify it.

## The Origin

I was building AI tools that made people dependent on me. Subscription models. Lock-in tactics. Features designed to create anxiety if cancelled.

It worked. Revenue grew. And I felt like garbage.

So I flipped the question. Instead of "How do I keep this customer?" I asked "How do I make this customer not need me anymore?"

## The Results

Counterintuitively, this approach increased revenue. Because:
- People trust tools that set them free
- Word of mouth spreads faster for liberating products
- One-time purchases feel safer than subscriptions
- Customers come back for new products, not because they're trapped

## The Framework

1. **Autonomy test**: Can the user fully operate this without me?
2. **Exit test**: Can they leave with all their data and continue using what they built?
3. **Transparency test**: Do they understand exactly what they're getting and why it costs what it costs?
4. **Love test**: Would I want my daughter to use this?

## In Practice

My products are one-time purchases. No subscriptions. No lock-in. The AI Efficiency Audit teaches you to build your own systems. The Sovereign AI Protocol shows you how to run everything locally. The ADHD Context Switch gives you a ritual you own forever.

I don't want recurring revenue from dependence. I want recurring revenue from trust.

## The Hard Part

This approach requires better products. You can't rely on lock-in to compensate for mediocrity. Every product has to be genuinely worth the price.

That's harder. But it's the only way I can sleep.
